THE INFLUENCE OF WESTERN TELEVISION PROGRAMS ON THE CULTURAL VALUES OF NIGERIAN YOUTHS

ABSTRACT   This work discusses the influence of western television programs on the cultural values of Nigerian youths. A hundred and twenty questionnaires were shared amongst youths from selected states and of different academic levels in Nigeria   Primary and secondary data were used the analysis. Both frequency distribution and regression analysis were used.   It was observed therefore that western television programs have a significant negative effect on the cultural values of Nigerian youths.
