Therefore, in carrying<\/p>\n\n\n\n out this work, it became necessary to gives an introduction. Specifically, the statement of<\/p>\n\n\n\n problem, purpose of study, scope and limitation of the study, the methodology of research<\/p>\n\n\n\n and terms used were defined and examined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Since the stockmarket is generally considered a dark area, and more importantly,<\/p>\n\n\n\n to expand the background of the study, a comprehensive review of literature was done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Therefore, the meaning of stockmarket, its role in a national economy, the stock<\/p>\n\n\n\n exchanges in Africa and their performance were all examined and discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Furthermore, the historical perspective of the Nigerian Stockmarket was considered with<\/p>\n\n\n\n particular reference to; its development, the roles of the market regulators and operators,<\/p>\n\n\n\n how the market operates, recent changes in the market, international perspective of the<\/p>\n\n\n\n market and its operational problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finally, to provide solutions to the Research problem, instruments were designed,<\/p>\n\n\n\n data gathered, analysed and interpreted. The Nigerian Stockmarket would have excelled<\/p>\n\n\n\n were it not for the teething and fundamental problems discovered.
